Cats and tea

Luna and Jupiter had their first real play date today.
Jupiter, having gotten out of Jason's room and down to the living room, had a few face-offs with Luna, who seemed rather calm about it. For the next few hours, they took off in a merry chase around the house, Jupiter chasing at first, then later Luna doing the chasing. The only time there was any hitting or batting was when Luna, exerting her status, turned and bitch-slapped Jupiter on the forehead.
There was no growling, spitting, claws, scratching, angry hissing, or fear or aggression. Ears twitched and flicked. Necks stretched out. Jupiter meowed a lot, looking for Luna whenever she disappeared. Luna seemed to be taunting him a but.
Right now, Luna is curled up on the couch, sleeping. I imagine Jupiter is also resting, upstairs in Jason's room. They played each other out, the darlings.
Jupiter seems to have submitted to Luna. I did not think this would happen so early on.
I think we know who now rules the house.
This makes me giggle insanely.

I made red rooibos tea yesterday, but I didn't pay attention to the amount of teabags I dropped into the pitcher. I believe it was six, or eight. Either way, the pitcher is now full of very, very, very dark tea. It tastes divine. I prefer it refrigerated. I usually fill a 20-oz water bottle with tea to drink throughout the day, and then take the pitcher and add water to bring the tea level back up, to serve again and again. This will take me weeks to get to the bottom, at this rate. I am not complaining at all.
