Herbal stuff to remember for later

I love science!

"Kratom's primary pharmacology is mediated by the alkaloids 7-hydroxymitragynine and mitragynine, which share molecular similarities to the alkaloids yohimbine but which act on various receptors in the brain, primarily opioid receptors.
Kratom has been known to prevent withdrawal symptoms in opiate-addicted persons. Kratom's psychoactive effects typically fade after a few hours. Kratom has been traditionally used internationally, in regions such as Malaysia and Indonesia and brought to Western civilization during the 19th century. Besides kratom (or krathom), it also goes by the names ithang, biak biak, ketum, kakuam, and in southern regions, thom. It is often used to moderate or cease opium addiction. In folk medicine, it is often used to treat diarrhea due to its high fiber content. A small minority of users use kratom to prolong sexual intercourse.
While the main alkaloids in kratom are structurally related to psychedelics, there is no psychedelic activity or similarities in effects to such substances. The dominant effects seem to be enhanced energy, cough suppression, boost in antioxidants, and mild sense of well-being. These effects are roughly comparable in strength to caffeine. Mitragynine suppresses opiate withdrawal, but its effects are not reversed by the opiate antagonist nalorphine. These opiate-like effects appear to be mediated mostly by delta and mu opioid receptors. In lower dosages, mitragynine exhibits a yohimbine-like binding to alpha-adrenergic receptors, as well as some binding to the delta opioid receptors. As doses increase, binding to delta receptors increases, and in yet higher doses, crossover to mu receptors occurs. While delta receptor selective opiate drugs have little abuse potential, it seems that they could be used as a primer which would allow mitragynine to more effectively bind to the mu receptor, which mediates the euphoric high produced by narcotics such as morphine."

Also, I've found out such a wealth of information on Chlorella Growth Factor that my head is spinning.
Currently, Swanson Vitamins is having a BOGO sale on their Chlorella tablets.
Acure Organics is also having a sale via Dermadoctor, and all their products contain Chlorella Growth Factor, as well as a superfruit complex and yerba mate extract, and they donate to breast cancer research.

I've been taking spirulina tablets and alfalfa tablets, but I should be taking chlorella tablets to round it all out. I imagine that within a few months' time, or even weeks, I might start having fewer fibro flares, fewer migraines, fewer general health problems. I am crossing my fingers. The cha de bugre, serrapeptase and MSM are just starting to make a dent in my pain and fatigue. Time to add more soldiers.

Also, I bought several packages of dried goji berries while in London. My new candy. I eat them in handfuls. So very delicious. Time will tell if the superfruit superpowers will help my health issues, but I think they will in a good way. After all, the Chinese guy who supposedly possibly lived to the ripe old age of 250 can't be wrong.
