Coffee and Youthful Looks

This morning before work, I was in Starbucks, getting my vanilla mocha doppio. The baristas there were familiar with me by now, and they even filled the cup with milk for me, because they knew that's what I always did. As I was sprinkling cinnamon on top and mixing it, a woman next to me, pouring her sugar and milk, asked me if I had class today. I blinked at her. "Which college do you go to?" she asked. I blinked again, then said, "Oh! No, I don't go to school, I graduated seven years ago. I'll be 29 on Sunday." The woman actually looked shocked. "Wow," she said, "you do not look 29. At all. I'm sorry for being so forward, but you look so young!"
I thanked her kindly, and she asked if it was lucky genetics or good skin care. I said both. My father's family has always had naturally good skin; my dad is almost 70 and he looks 50, if that. And I know how to take excellent care of my skin.
I wound up giving her the link to Vicki's website, since that's where I buy most of my products from nowadays.
It was a lovely way to start my day, and I needed it. I still feel like a absolute hell. I'm seeing my doctor on the 25th for my annual gynecological exam. I'm going to ask if I can get a prescription for Carisopridol (Soma) so I can stop taking my husband's. I would love my own bottle of analgesic hypertonia-relieving muscle relaxant. It works better than Flexeril.

birthday, life
