Honestly, I don't plan on letting Athena evolve anytime soon. She doesn't seem to want to, and besides, I'm content with how she is now. I was just curious for the future.

I got mine as my starter. She's been a very reliable Pokémon, though I must admit, it is rather exciting, the thought of getting a choice when it's time for her to evolve.

They are. They're more like spirit animals than the normal cats and dogs I was used to in my world. [he probably shouldn't have mentioned those, but ssh.]

Ah-- I'm an exorcist, so I work with spirit animals on occasion-- they're intelligent enough to thwart most of us, if we let them.

What sort do you have?

[ooc: He's actually saying "shikigami" for spirit animal and "onmyouji" for exorcist but I figured I'd go with the (slightly imprecise) English translations. SOB, English...]

Oh, just things like dragons, unicorns, werewolves, vampires, and so much more. [That really was just a brief list. A very brief list. She didn't even know about half of them yet.]

Yes, most definitely. In that respect, I can't say it's horrible that we're powerless. [She's just thinking about if the evil witches and wizards back home were here. And she's completely unaware that the most evil one is one of her companions.]
