[The feed opens to a young female smiling brightly. She's clearly happy about something.]

I was walking through town this morning, and the egg I received on Christmas hatched!

He looks quite adorable. Did you name him after someone you know?

It's actually after the name of one of the founders of the school I went to. His symbol was also a lion, and I find it somewhat resembles a lion.

It does look quite lion-like. Do you know what type it is?

Electric, I believe.

That's good. He'll be quite useful against Falkner, if you've not already challenged him.

Falkner? The first gym leader, yes? [She pauses.] I'm unsure as to whether I want to attempt the badges. I'm more interested in studying the different Pokémon. [Somebody is clearly a breeder.]

A perfectly admirable goal. However, you might still want to obtain the badges, or at least travel with someone who wishes to earn them. The Goldenrod City badge comes with a bottle that opens a shortcut between Goldenrod and Violet, and I believe they all have such advantages.

I'll consider that, though I believe my friend will want to take them on. [Ron surely would, and she doubted they would separate. At the same time, if each badge allowed for different things...Maybe it wouldn't hurt to try defeating them all.]

Your friend? Are they someone from home, or someone you met here?

A friend from home, actually. I'm also traveling with someone from our world, but he's from about fifty years before us. [Which was odd, yet very fascinating.]

Fifty years? I believe that's a new record. [Not counting the Nations.] I have a few friends from worlds close to my home, and the difference between us is seventeen years.

A record? I didn't realize that amount of time was so uncommon. [She just knew that different times were possible. But really, it made sense.]

Most people deal with months or a few years. France did talk about centuries, but his standards are somewhat different.

France? You mean...like the country, France? [She blinks. That's....odd.]

Oh, is France a country from your world? He mentioned being a Nation before, but my world has completely different countries, so I never could be quite certain.

Yes, it is. [She pauses.] He..admits to being a country? How is that possible? [That....was very strange. How on earth could a person be a country?]
