From my perspective, LiveJournal's Monday outage ran from about 6 AM, when I turned on my computer, to 1:30 PM, when I was at last able to release the next two
fkficfest/
fkficfest stories. (Does anyone know what caused the outage?) I feel bad that anyone's plans to read the fest during a lunch break or such were overturned, and I hope that Monday's authors do not lose any readers to the delay. Here's hoping that everything will be back to normal on Tuesday!
The fest has treated us to fourteen stories so far, and while there seems, perhaps, to be a bit of a trend toward PG ratings and gen prompts (again: so far), there is also the essential wide FK diversity in perspectives and interpretations. You can read N&N, IB and UF; first, second and third seasons; adventure, romance and ... well, no tragedy yet, but who knows what tomorrow may bring? :-) If you haven't already, do drop by. And perhaps even consider mentioning the fest on your own journal? If you wrote, point your friends straight to your own story! Maybe once they've enjoyed yours, they'll choose to stick around and read others' stories, too...
