I love Willy Wonka, and my HP book is special!!!
I had a really really good time tonight!! After rehearsal (music, no dancing, a welcome break) I went to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Kati, her friend, her friend's brother, and Hillary!! It was so so good to see her! I was extremely excited for the movie (I even wore my shirt) and I was decidedly not disappointed. It was great! It is very different from the original and, from what I remember, more like the book. Enough comparisons though. I loved it!! It was quite funny and I liked Johnny Depp and Freddie Highmore. The Oompa Loompa songs were funny. I like the different styles; Hillary and I especially enjoyed the hair band. :-P The entire film was wonderfully bizarre. I'd really like to see it again! After that we headed to Books a Million for copies of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It was fun to see all the people in costume, and we ran into a couple Morgantown people. I ended up getting a copy of the book with no purple ink on the front! I was really surprised when I took it out of the bag, and I went back in to ask the people working about it because I thought for a minute about exchanging it, but I didn't. It's not quite as pretty but it's cool because it's a misprint so it's probably one of very few out of all the copies printed! They all got wide-eyed looks when I showed it to them, it was kind of neat. They said I should keep it and make sure the cover stays in tact because it will probably be worth a lot. That was a neat, random turn of fate! I might sell it, I might not, but it's still cool. The evening was nicely capped off with a fun car ride with Hillary, even though I really suck with directions! It was so nice to talk away like normal. All in all it was an absolutely fabulous evening!! Hooray!!
