Since October, I've been working on refinishing yard sale finds into nice looking, usable kids' furniture.
The toy box...
The table...
The chairs... But I wanted four chairs, not two. After all, I have four kids of an age to use them between my sister's kids and my brother's. I mean, now that she's moved closer, she's been here to see us on average of once a month or so. That way, the cousins can play together and know each other. So I decided to check ebay. I knew I wouldn't find anything that really matched, but I've painted everything else so that it coordinates....
By-It-Now. Dammit. It was the last one. They looked solid, like they'd take a lot of abuse. And yes, they have to be sanded because there is a finish on it to protect the wood. Just when I was done painting..... *sigh* Ebay is evil. So is Buy-It-Now. They were an impulse buy that I'll spend at least a month paying for in painting... (And yes, they were fairly cheap, with free shipping! And I also had the money...)
