Oh yay, I'm glad you enjoyed! And hey, dub con slave fic can totally be warm and fuzzy! Er... sometimes... Admittedly, I've written my share of cold and prickly slave fic, so who am I to talk. In any case, I'm always pleased to hear your thoughts. :D
I could write a thousand things about this gorgeous piece of gorgeousness, but I'll just point one out: you like manipulative matchmakers, don't you? This Mycroft, Pike from "I'd take a bullet" and Kirk from "Rush Week" could have a lovely chat. *grin*
You've discovered my secret! Er, I actually hadn't noticed I was doing that, but I guess when I throw something into a hard alternate universe, I like to find ways to subvert the "everyone here is evil" stereotype. And manipulative matchmakers are the way to go! Equal opportunity mindfucks! Also, now I want there to be a dark, wood-paneled, smokey room somewhere that those versions of Mycroft, Pike, and Kirk can hang out and plot evil plots. And compare how hot all their subordinates are. Anyway, thank you for reading m'dear.
This is what an AU is supposed to be. Your John is so incredibly brilliant. You do amazing justice to the secondary characters, too, especially Lestrade. I love the role Mycroft plays here, as well. Really gorgeous.
Aw, thank you for your kind comments. And as you are the expert on Lestrade, your seal of approval for his characterization means a great deal.
Also, I'll tell you a secret: I can neither confirm nor deny reports that there may be a short companion piece on the way in which Lestrade plays a larger role.
