Ooo, look! Today's reveal day for Remix Redux! I had so much to choose from from my assignment, mumblemutter, because there was both Heroes and Trek fic! I'm so spoiled! Anyway, this is the first Heroes I've wrote in a while... Since my hope_in_sight fic for perdiccas, in fact! Nice to revisit my boys.

Holy lord. This was fucking amazing. I...literally have been weeping at how people in Petlar just don't get it anymore and you GOT IT SO HARD AND I'M FLAILING, BECAUSE NOW I KNOW MY SHIP ISN'T DEAD <3 I adored, adored, the lack of sugarcoating in their relationship, there's no magical love here - Peter hates him, Peter hasn't forgiven him, and Peter is even more brutal here than he is in canon but that's really BETTER. And Sylar is repentant like he is in canon but it's also better cause you made him extraordinarily un-woobie and weepy. The original fic by mumblemutter was also masterful, but it leaned more on the Peter/Nathan side, so I admittedly enjoyed this one a little more just because of the POV, and my own personal pairing tastes. *shrug

Yay! Your comment makes me so happy! I haven't written Petlar in a while because... Well... It was a rough season of Heroes, and I was feeling kind of bruised. But! Remix gave me a reason (and mumblemutter gave me devious ideas) for more of these two and their twisted, twisted relationship!

It's funny because I usually err on the side of woobie, but there's just something about the wall!verse that brings out the colder side of these characters for me. Also, I cannot resist any temptation to bust out Nathan/Peter (as you well know), so I had a lot of fun with Nathan's influence here.

I completely agree! I haven't read a wall!fic like this one since the episode first came out. This was so good I was completely enraptured. Most of the time when I read a Sylar/Peter fic that includes Nathan/Peter I just role my eyes and try to read beyond it, but I never did that with this fic. It was just so beautifully included I had to love it. I still don't ship Nathan/Peter but for this fic I did. Also I adored the dream sequences. They were so personal and very realistic to what dreams are like. Please write a sequel to this! I'm dying to know what happened between where this fic ends and when they break out.

Well gosh, first of all, thanks! Your comment made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I had a really great time writing this, because I haven't written any Peter/Sylar for a while, so I was able to come to it with a fresh (for me) perspective. Also, the original fic (which you should totally read, if you haven't) gave me a ton of beautiful imagery and interesting themes on which to draw.

Dreams are so much fun to write; it's like giving in to my poetic side! Plus I am a sucker for Nathan, so any chance I have to include him, I will. I'm glad the Nathan/Peter elements worked for your, despite your not necessarily being a Petrellicest shipper!
