Monday nights are so wonderful. However, last year I didn't discover Heroes until the spring, so I didn't have all this frustration at the "To be continued" every week. I miss instant gratification! I must know what happens!
Okay, so:
* Matt and Nathan make poor secret agents. I do like how Nathan is at least a little cautious (i.e. You go first, matt, and I'll stay over here around the corner while that dude still has a shotgun), but come on. Sure, the guy looks like a total flake, but you let yourselves get pwned bigtime.
* Monster-face Nathan is kind of freaking me out. I assume we'll be getting an explanation for that eventually, but for now, it's being used a lot.
* Woopdie doo, Peter finally opened the box. Which has nothing of consequence in it, EXCEPT I very much wanted him to look at the picture and know who Nathan was.
* Ricky be dead. We knew it had to happen, to bring Peter and His Love Interest closer together, but... I didn't really want Peter and His Love Interest closer together, so there you have it.
* Kristen Bell is bad ass. And who is Daddy? I'm thinking Bob, but hopefully it's someone more mysterious.
* Bennet and the Haitian Sensation said they were going to Odessa, but the blue-screen had them on Red Square in Moscow. Different countries. Did they do that because they think Odessa has no recognizable landmarks? How bout-- oh, I dunno-- a huge set of stairs?
* Mohinder is also not a very good secret agent guy. Especially without Zane to help him. Knocking on people's doors and then telling them you have all the answers will only work if they have conversed with Micah the Wonder Boy immediately prior to your arrival.
* I wish they weren't going to such lengths to tell Hiro's part of the story from this notes-to-Ando narrative thing. I miss character development in that arc, and feel like we're just being told rather than shown what's going on there.
* Not sorry that there was no Maya or Alejandro, but missed Sylar. Looks like they're back next week. Also, woah for the very first episode of Heroes without Claire!
Those are my random thoughts. All in all, liked this episode better than Kindred, perhaps not as much as Kindness of Strangers.
