I've just recently developed an Adam/Peter kink, and mmmm. Puppy!Peter is adorable at any time and sort of emotionally erotic here - when I got to the part about why he was punished, everything fit together so perfectly. Oh, Peter and his desire to please...Adam takes it advantage of it here beautifully ;)

Adam/Peter is just so much messed up fun, what with the crazy power dynamic. And of course, for my own purposes I just have to work in the Petrellicest. Peter's personality is so dog-loyal that it's pretty easy to translate into kink; I'm glad it worked for you! It almost seems wrong to bring sex into is, because he's just so cute following Adam around and eating out of his hand. And Adam (with his God complex) is kind of a natural master. The kink just fit so well all round I couldn't leave it alone.

I could definitely see Adam/Peter on the show, but I never really read anythin but Petrellicest, so I didn't give it too much thought. Then mystery_sock went and slashed 'em and now I've pretty much sold what little is left of my soul to the pairing ;) You've hit it exactly on the head - between Adam's god complex and Peter's need to be loved and guided, there's a perfect dynamic set up. And I think there really is this genuine affection that Adam shows for Peter - sort of an amusement at the naivete, still wanting to protect that innocence, albeit in twisted, sexy ways ;)

I'm kind of wanting to jump on the ship and write me some Adam/Peter. Hmmm....

Yes, my heart is in Petrellicest, but um... those latest two chapters of Ritual? Um... HOT! There's so much possible angst between the two, which is part of what I love about Petrellicest... and even if there's not as much textural evidence for Adam/Peter (and does this pairing have a cute name?) on the show (yet), they're hot together, so I'm okay with slashing them. I agree with your reading of Adam-- that in some ways he sees his old, optimistic self in Peter. And of course, Adam has the kind of ego that wants to have sex with someone just like him.
