The countertop overhang is in a really low-traffic area: it protrudes into the bay in the kitchen. It's going to be pretty rare to head back there, other than with the intention of sitting at said counter. So hopefully head-to-counter contact will be kept to a minimum.
Ah, I know--I was thinking about those little boys! I think the overhang is a nifty plan--will you be getting high-backed chairs or stools?
Gosh I would love to be there--
Kate has applied for a position with the state of Virginia's Frontier Farm near Staunton (and thus Charlottesville)--she would be a costumed interpreter, demonstrating spinning and talking about the history of early America--wouldn't that be a great fit for her?
Isaac's already too tall for a head klonk on that overhang, by quite a lot. And as R said, it's in a very low traffic area. I'm not worried about it. :)
The job in Charlottesville sounds grand for Kate. I kept thinking of her when we were in Philly... we talked with a woman doing this exact job and I was thinking how great it would be for Kate. Charlottesville is pretty, too, as long as you don't live too close in to the campus.
I wonder who will get clunked first by the countertop?
