I know, I can't get enough of looking at the pictures from the USO Girls photoshoot! Especially once they added all the Captain Americas to the shot-- so much red, white, and blue!
My Ravenclaw uniform was assembled as follows (if you're interested): - Cardigan and tie from Whimsic Alley - white shirt from Goodwill - skirt made by me (based mostly on Vera and Alison's instructions) - robe by Jen (aviendiora)
I have materials to make my own robe but ran out of time-- I'm trying to do it accurately, without the seam between robe and hood on the colored facing, but it was driving me CRAZY. I'll probably try again this fall, since what else am I going to use the fabric for? :P
I think this may have been a few too many costumes...it was a lot of time in the room changing and I didn't get to wear them all for very long. Big Bang Theory in particular was really short, but since we were missing people, I really wouldn't have felt right going out and about without them. We can always wear them again next year. :)
It was definitely a great time! I know you're less into cons these days but I hope you can make it out to D*C again sometime. :)
