Sewing question for you!

I'm finally ready to start in on my stash of SW flannel to make some pj bottoms. Is there a particular pattern you like, or should I just grab any ol' one?

I've used Simplicity 5353 for mine, which is actually more of a juniors' sweatpants pattern-- they are more shaped/fitted than your regular PJ pants pattern. Most PJ pants patterns are pretty similar, if not exactly the same; they're just loose, straight-legged pants with either a tied or elastic waist. So I would say, whatever Jo-Ann has on special this weekend. ;-)

Hey, this is way off in the future, and there'll be JadeCon before then, but I just got word yesterday that I'll be presenting at a conference in SD next November. I will definitely coordinate and schedule fun-time involving you and blusurfer. Yay!

Oh yay! That will be excellent! Especially since there is a better-than-even chance I won't make it to JC this year (I'm bridesmaiding in a wedding at the beginning of August, and my company is hosting a conference at the end of August and we will all be running around like chickens with our heads cut off beforehand).

After the fact, sorry that the Ravens won. Especially as I am a Giants fan. I would much have preferred that the Titans played the Giants next weekend.

Well, the Ravens will actually play whoever wins Steelers-Chargers tomorrow. (Meaning, the Ravens will play the Steelers next week. Heh.) Winner of Giants-Eagles will play winner of Cardinals-Panthers, which...at this point looks like it might actually be the Cardinals. (27-7 late in the 2nd quarter! Maybe the Chargers have a chance after all!)

But BOO RAVENS. BLECH. (My hatred for them is old and deep-seated; they built a butt-ugly stadium that blocks your view of Camden Yards as you drive into Baltimore, and got taxpayers to pay for a huge amount of it while giving them very little in return. I think we still have some anti-stadium buttons at my dad's house.)

Duh, sorry, I was thinking ahead to possible Super Bowl matchups.

There are so many stories of professional teams getting municipalities to foot a major part of the bill for a new stadium, with no apparent benefit to the city. Hmmmmm.... can you say kick backs children?

BTW, all of those things named, 1-4 are serious comfort items. And with it a balmy 6 degrees here, the flannel and quilt are survival gear!
