Finished it-- took about five hours reading at top speed. I'll do a more detailed reread next week but I *had* to get the basics so I could stop hiding from spoilers.
...I'm not entirely certain I haven't just read a very long fanfic.
schneck128! We're canon! Yay! (Not that I ever had any real doubt...but it was still cool.) OBHWF, baby.
I was giggling like an absolute madwoman at the Lupin/Tonks stuff, because I ran into a girl a year ago who had a Lupin/Tonks icon and I thought, "Man, that's a hella random ship, wonder where she got that from?" And now it's canon. Bizarre, and yet cool. I'm sure the tiny Lupin/Tonks section of fandom is thrilled. (I've had to chortle a bit at the lamentations of the Sirius/Remus shippers, and see them driven before me. Fandom_wank has been a goldmine, dude.)
I'm really not up to commenting on the actual substantive events of the book right now, which is why I'm making random shipping remarks. Except I give two thumbs up to her portrayal of Draco. A suave, leather-pants-wearing hipster he is not. Also, there were some parts that freaked me RIGHT OUT (forced potion-drinking GAH, I never want to think about that again thankyouverymuch) and made me very glad I was not alone in the house reading the book.
