special day
Cyrus is gone. He is on his way to Montana as I type. I believe he is somewhere south of Grand Forks, ND. Two more days of travel until he arrives safely at East Glacier.
I am sad about Cyrus leaving me for the summer. Usually it's the other way around. He and I, we are together in the summer and away during the school year. But, I know it's just for the summer. And, we spent the last several months together. We did so many things together in the months he was in Iowa City. He opened my eyes up to all the things you can do in Iowa City. You just don't have to sit in your bedroom and be sad because you don't have any friends. There are so many things you can do! Especially with a car! For example, being outdoors and not just going to class. I bought a bike, a good bike, because of him. Now, I consider myself a biker who bikes around town, up and down the hills of Iowa City. Also, going to places nearby. Like the raptor center not far from here. I also I have a greater appreciation of downtown Iowa City. I like renting movies from the library and going out to eat. I like eating good drinks from the co-op and bread at the bread garden. I have also am more aware of things to do close by iowa city. State Parks with caves, beaches, trails and lakes.
I will miss Cyrus, but in October, I'll be going to Ireland and he'll be there shortly after. We will travel around and be together. And this summer, we will talk on the phone and share our adventure stories.
