the bears are going to the superbowl!!!! woooooohooooo. my dad was probably the happiest man alive yesterday.
i got switched to the polar room(pre-k) from chica's (twos) at the daycare. there are many more children in the room i'm at now. they're louder, they are bossy, they tell you no. it's quite a change. i'm learning to yell at children. the teachers in there said you can't be nice, "they will run you over." i wasn't quite sure what that meant until i met a child named ryan. ryan is the cutest little australian boy. he liked me right from the start. he loves to tell stories about everything all the time. he'll ask you to do something and swear up and down that it's okay to do. i don't know the rules, so i give in and let them do what they want. bad mistake. nothing bad came out of it but five year olds know how to get what they want.
listening to the other teachers, i'm impressed with their ability to be mean. it's hard. it's hard to yell at them, be stern, and not feel bad about it. not like they are doing something wrong, the teachers, they are just doing their job. they don't want running, name calling, pushing, biting, stealing, etc. going on. i understand.
there are 19 boys to 7 girls. it's crazy in the afternoon. i think that's why the teachers are so stern. they have to be because most of the class is ruled by rowdy boys and the the remainder of the class, the girls, aren't girlie girls. they are girls who have to stand up for themselves so they aren't pushed around by the boys. good for them.
abihjay is my "favorite" i think. he's an artist and he's adorable. he knows how to play checkers, war, and go fish. my kind of guy. i haven't really made a real connection with him though. what am i talking about? favorites? ah
work. nobody cares.
classes are good. i made it a point to meet atleast one person from each class. here you go:
french: i know a few in there from last semester. i sit by this girl who has a strange name. revander. maybe. i thought she was cool at first but she's so stupid. she asks questions that she already knows the answer to. i don't know what she is trying on the ta? brownie points? i know if i was a ta, i wouldn't be impressed, especially if i was a beautiful french speaking african women ta.
computer sci: i sat by this girl the first day of class. she seems smart. she's a freshman. i don't sit by her anymore. this is becuase if you are familiar with the east biology building lecture room, the overhead screen is on the left side of the room and she sits on the very right. it's hard for me to see. so, i sit over there now. i met this guy named andy. he just transferred from dmacc. i think he's a junior, but i'm not sure. he's living in daum, which is where i want to be next year, so maybe i could talk to his ra about my living situation problem and they could help. we'll see.
physics: channel. she's black, from africa, and has the hugest lips i've ever seen. she's nice enough, i guess. the first day of class, she didn't print of the slides and she was asking me like crazy if she could see them "just for a sec. let me just write this." that was annoying. maybe once she brings her slides, our relationship will improve. we have plans to study some time together.
finite: no one. i think that class is a total joke.
