That time of year again!
Yuletide sign-ups have begun. Apparently, some authors haven't signed up because they're under the impression that Yuletide is Slash-Only. Not so, and I'd hate to think that people have been missing it for this reason. I'm not sure how many writers are on my flist but for those who aren't familiar with Yuletide, it's a Christmas fic exchange for very rare (or old and now inactive) fandoms. So, there won't be any Harry Potter fic but that random book/tv show you love that nobody else has ever heard of is fair game.
There is gen, het, slash and real person fic too (not my cup of tea but it's there). The FAQ from the Yuletide website can probably summarise things better than I can. There's also this link for Yuletide newbies. I encourage anyone and everyone to sign up.
I've just signed up and am now all enthusiastic. Unfortunately, it's still going to be a while until assignments go out and I can start working on it. So, I'm off to read some Life on Mars fic instead...
