Schedules were set in stone. While sneaking off to have a romantic interludes here and there was all well and good for Kirin, it did hellish things to his schedule. It got to the point that he had to work even more, to make up for the time spent just enjoying being in love.
The alarm began to beep at 4am, exactly 3 hours after he had fallen to sleep in his lover's arms, exactly 30 minutes before he needed to be dressed and out of the door. He sighed and tried to untangle himself from the limbs wrapped tightly around him without waking the other.
When that proved unsuccessful, he tried to wake Jamie up. "Rise and shine, wakey-wakey."
