I think I've given up. I can't even make a layout I like anymore. I try, but I don't understand enough to get it really. I know there's a lot you can do with a free account, but I can't make anything I like with it. ARg! I reeeeeeeally don't want to start from scratch, but I know I have to with Photoshop. I'm so sorry, dear.:( I will say that Photoshop does take time to get used to, but once you get used to it, learning how to do new things in it is a breeze. I've been working with it for about two years, and I still have loads to learn ~ erm, well, uh, that's meant to be an encouragement, not a discouragement, m'dear.

Anyhow, as for your icon and layout: Lydia, their gorgeous! As soon as I saw the icon on my friend's list, I was so excited to see your new layout! And it's very lovely ~ simple and artistic and quite lovely. ^_^

I know how awful it feels like though to be completley void of inspiration... I don't know if this would help you, but what usually helps me is not looking at my old icons (or even other people's new icons, although I am greatly influenced, hee), but at looking at completely different things altogether. Art books, interior decorating magazines, design websites, old photographs and advertisements, even just a pretty bowl with some yummy food in it or spending some time outside somewhere pretty. Usually after spending time doing lots of those sort of things, I feel inspired to do just about anything artistic.:)

Sorry for such a long reply, m'dear... I hope I helped at least get some ideas for where to begin to get your inspiration. Cheer up! I find that after a period of absolutely no inspiration or satisfying work, usually the best work I've ever made thus far is lurking about the corner.:)
