The following are the handful of relationships the TARDIS has developed at realityshifted that have not been addressed in the preceding 10,000 words (yes, you read that right). I promise to make it brief.
It is interesting! I like it also because of how similar they are. If the TARDIS had more tact, they could have been friends. BUT NO, instead they are best enemies. It's also kind of interesting/bad because it takes a lot for Diva to hate someone or wish pain on them. Diva has tortured people, but not out of contempt, but more like...a game. But the TARDIS is special because Diva really wants to just make her hurt so badly. Congratulations TARDIS, you're on the same level as Joel!
It also cracks me up how childish they are. Especially the rivals thing. YEAH WELL ____ LOVES ME MORE THAN YOU. >:o It's such an elementary school thing. But that seems accurate for both of them in different ways.
It'd take a lot for it to actually happen, really. Or, rather, one big and unsettling event. Not even related to the TARDIS necessarily, but just because Diva's sanity, uh, fluctuates, if the TARDIS caught her at a bad time, then Diva would effectively forget Sam because Diva has equated two things with stress relief over the years; sex and torture. Her Chevalier messed her up so bad.
They really are children, at least mentally. Even if neither would admit it, that's about how they approach others. There's a very innocent naivete to them when it comes to social interactions on more than a superficial level. If we ever did a school AU with them? They'd totally be in third grade.
Her Chevalier need to be punched in the face. Repeatedly :/
Diva will admit it, actually! She's aware that the way she meets/talk to people isn't normal. However, she is unable to draw the connection that it's because she's only had 14 years of "normal" social interaction. lulz
WELL ONLY TWO ARE LEFT, LOL. And Gene is going off to kill the gay one. With his sidekick, of course. WHY GENE WHY.
Diva is just weird. She's smart in some ways, but mostly she's not. Also. Diva: 1 TARDIS: 0
LIKE WHO, SAM? Actually, I can only imagine the shitstorm that would have ensued if Sam had said yes to Diva's question about becoming her Chevalier. Which reminded me that their relationship is actually really sad because her relationship with Sam is, essentially, hopeless because she'll have to sleep. BUT YEAH the point is Sam wasn't ready for a commitment worse than marriage.
Just thinking about Sam becoming a Chevalier makes my Gene-muse contemplate very, very horrible things and it scares me. Because I know he'd do them just to keep Sam safe. But I think part of the draw to the Sam/Diva relationship is that it is tragic, yet she's still so happy. Diva deserves to be happy at least once in her life (even if my muses disagree).
No, not even in that way. She has the book smarts of a third grader, and often thinks like one, but because she is an adult in every other way, so it's weird. Pffft, yes.
Haha horrible things directed towards who? He really does make her just so happy, but because she is aware that it's not going to be a relationship that she's physically able to commit to, it makes her reluctant to do drastic things. Like Sam trying to free her is something she mostly disagrees with purely because she knows that once she goes to sleep, there won't be Sam to help her when she wakes up. Amshel has done a really great job at making Diva dependent on her Chevalier. Besides that, she'd be alone and forget everything, which are two of her greatest fears. She can't vocalize it properly, but she really doesn't want to be free.
Yes, I can see it being that way, yeah. It does make for an interesting time. Pffft, no.
Towards Diva, her Chevalier and Sam, actually. As I told fa-chan, he would mess shit up if Sam somehow became a Chevalier, even at the cost of his own life.
I love Diva's logic. It's so damn tragic, but just absolutely fascinating at the same time.
She's a child in an adult's body and living in a very adult world~ Yet she would be very offended to be treated like a child, save for Amshel. He's allowed to because he's her not!Father.
Aw Gene, that's so sweet. Except it'd definitely be at the cost of his own life, since Diva wouldn't take anymore shit about her and Sam since, effectively, Sam would belong to her then. The only way out of being her Chevalier is dying, so sucks for him.
She's just tragic overall. :( It wouldn't be so bad if not for the weird and never explained LOL I HAS TO SLEEP FOR THIRTY YEARS crap. That just makes it worse as far as Diva's dependency on her Chevalier. Though, even if she didn't, I'm sure that Amshel would have made her feel that way regardless. Because Diva is his "precious treasure", if he can have the insurance of making her feel as if she can't live without him, then he doesn't need to worry about losing her. Diva isn't a person to him, and never ever has been. She's just his most valuable belonging. WHICH IS SO SAD, but I can at least be sure of that since Nathan comments on it a few times.

Pfft, I don't think so!
