First of all, I want you to know that I'm not upset or anything. I wouldn't bring this matter up unless I had need of it.

Tell me, Billy, about the Freeze Ray. I know you have it, and I know you used it on me. But that's water under the bridge.

Can it be used on someone who shapeshifts? And how long can the effects last? More than a couple of days?

Knew I couldn't keep that secret much longer. Especially after that Anko was in my body, snooping around my lab for a week.

Theoretically yes, it should work. I've never tried it out myself on a shapeshifter, since my world lacks those kind of people. And the time frame of a few days would work too. The Freeze Ray has only been activated long term for about three days, but that's when I had been using it quite a bit. If I only used it on one person I think it could last several days.

By shapeshifter you're talking about Envy, right?

I am talking about Envy. He's a particular threat to me and the people I care about, and a lot of people are having trouble coming up with a viable solution.

Can it freeze and refreeze? Or is there a reloading time? And... would you be allowed to work with me? I don't want to get you into any trouble. I guess even more importantly is the question of if you'd mind helping!

I have cookies. But often that only works for children, so I can't exactly offer them as a bribe.

He seems to be a threat to the majority of the population here. He certainly isn't trying to make friends with anyone at least.

Yeah, it can freeze and refreeze...but I'd have to let the Freeze Ray have a bit of a cool off period between freezings. I've modified it that it could last a few days if it isn't overheated, but it would eventually have to be turned off for a while. Yeah, I don't see why helping you out would be a problem. Right now, Envy isn't on my list of allies, and I doubt he will be any time soon.

Getting Envy out of the picture might actually help out more than just the people he seems to be after. That goal is a good payment...though cookies work too. I haven't had cookies since I was back home with Moist...but his cookies always end up a bit...damp.

A few days. And people can be moved while frozen, so we could possibly get him out into the Waste and disoriented... There's potential there. A list? Fancy. But you're implying things could change on the alliance-with-him-front?

Yeah, it should be possible to move him while he's frozen to the Wastes. And I doubt I'll ever be allied with him again. The last time I was allied with him was when he was originally here and it was more of a allied-through-other-alliance thing. I don't think making any ties with this Envy would be helpful in any of my goals.

Sweet. I'm actually being serious. Moist's super power is making whatever he touches wet. He'd my evil roommate henchmen/best friend.

He was different last time. Was it easy to work with him then? It's weird how taking someone from a different time can change them!

I wouldn't say it was easy...personally I didn't really like him that much, but he was more willing to help for the cause. Maybe it's some weird parallel universe thing and he's a different Envy...since he's so different. I wouldn't be surprised if that might be possible...knowing this place exists and all.

Yeah, he was here then and that was him complaining about his powers. I keep telling him that his powers are plenty badass if he puts them to use in the right way...but he doesn't tend to believe me when I tell him that.

Oh, well. A cause is always motivation to put personal differences behind you. But Penny isn't here. I can't imagine a cause big enough to work with him. That's just me, though. Parallel universes of parallel universes? I suppose nearly anything is possible, here!

Anything can be tough if used in the right way! Except cheese. I can't think of a dangerous use for cheese.
