My pants were too big and it cost me $43.
Today we're having day one of our annual employee recognition event aka STARS (don't ask me what that stands for because you'll surely get a lie as I don't know). Anyway, this shin-dig is taking place at the Marriott Buttes Resort in Tempe. Today's the luncheon, tonight's the COCKtail social and mystery dinner theater. Tomorrow is the day looooooooooooooong event where right around 10:00 am we'll find ourselves having to prop our eyelids open to stay awake whilst watching lame skits and awards ceremonies.
I couldn't figure out what to wear this morning since it's still business casual so I threw on these pants I hadn't worn in a bit knowing they would be a tad loose, but figured it wouldn't be that bad. Uh, yeah I just KNEW I was making a mistake when I put those damn things on because I got soo much shit about how big they were when I got here. I eventually snuck out, went to Target and bought a new pair & since I was wearing boots, I had to get shoes to match as well. So, $43 later - my pants fit.
Truth be told, I did that on purpose so I could go shopping. Okay, that was a lie.
Alrighty, I've got a few things to do before we head out of here in a hour.
