This just in...
Boss' are always assholes. That's a very unfortunate thing. Mine was turning out pretty cool too, until this morning. See, it's been drilled into my head since the begining: DO NOT BE LATE! EVER! SHOW UP AN HOUR EARLY EVERY TIME. Which I understand completely, after all, I'm working for rich-people doing rich-things. They don't like to wait.
So this morning's job was in the heart of D.C. The job is at 10:00. It's a nine mile drive. I leave the house at 8:30. I finaly arrive and park at 9:10. I'm in the elevator by 9:20, thinking to myself "Dang, it sure was good advice to leave an hour early, now I have time to set up twice before the attourneys get here ^_^.
I get to the room, my mentor-ish-trainor is there all huffypuffy and mad-like. He tells me to go back to the office. "Uhh, why's that?" "Just go. We'll talk later."
So I get back here, where I'm posting from, the office. And my boss is in a fucking tirade. He's pissed as all hell that I was in the room a mere FOURTY minutes early. When I pointed out that they were fourty minutes of my unpaid time he got even more angry. I didn't really understand that last part. I decided to smile and nod and stop giving a fuck. This job may be awesome, and it may pay well as hell, but you know... I hate working for cock-mongering fuck-utters.
On the plus side, I'll be talking to professors at Johns Hopkins this weekend ^_^;; Wish me luck! If I can coerce student loans, well hell, I may not even need a job ^_^. I'll still keep this one for a year or so, just for the extra spending money (computer, internet, and car) but after that, when I've got my feet under me, I can start focusing completely on school. That'll be a good feeling ^_^.
