Day 3
Lots of knitting yesterday... watched taped stuff in the morning, then at night I watched mostly Olympics with a pause for Big Brother 10. The guy who couldn't believe Brett Favre came out of retirement and was traded to the Jets was funny. And Redskins get to play the Jets this weekend!
Cables are impossible to photograph with a flash... when I get the front piece done, I'll set it out in good sunlight for a pic where you can actually see how pretty it is.
I had hoped to be ready to start cutting glass today, but I'm still tinkering with the pattern.
It's not substantially different from the one I posted nearly a year ago. I finished up the building on the upper right and fixed a few wonky things on other buildings. And I "colored" it with my glass choices, though you can't see that in this version.
But I'm having misgivings about the pillars that hold up the bridge... I tried putting pattern lines where my screenshot looks like the delineations are, but it's not very architecturally pleasing. I think maybe I need to redo/simplify, and give up on trying to indicate a strong light source from the left. And the right side is a mishmosh of shrubbery, which, ok, is just like from the movie, but will look like a whole bunch of fail unless I figure out something a little more orderly to do with it.
