I just had a frighteningly geeky moment. I was watching season 7 of Stargate SG1. One of the characters said something like, "A series of seven nonrepeating characters chosen out of a pool of thirty six? That's about sixty three billion possible combinations." (what she actually meant was permutations, but whatever) At that point I experienced a deep longing to spend several hours studying probabilities. I loked up onto my travel book shelf (the shelf with the ten books I allowed myself to bring) and was saddened when I did not see my statistics book there.
