I have a fresh manicure and I'm ready to face the world.
I haven't updated in ages I guess. I'm happy though. Maybe that is why. :-). Living with Greg so far is going really well and ever since I've been back in Florida I feel like there is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Sometimes I still wish I was going to be able to go med school, be a doctor an fulfill that dream, but mostly I'm glad I'm not a student any more. I hate explaining to everyone why I'm back, but if that is the worst of it - I'm grateful.
Mostly just unpacking my stuff for now. Working tomorrow and friday at the hospital so I will have a little bit of money, thank goodness. Student loans come calling this month, along with my $4,000 credit card bill. ugh, I've always been so good about managing my money and never letting a credit card get that bad, but fly between NYC and FL enough times and it really adds. I've just been living on credit for like the last year. Oh well. I'm not really worried about it, just don't like it.
Greg and I made an impromtu visit to Key West last weekend. It was nice - all our favorite restaurants are there, I have a favorite book store and there is a really nice Episcopal Church on Duval St. So it was pretty much a great Saturday night and Sunday. We stayed in a different place because our normal place was booked and it ended up not being that up to par for the money it cost but it was a really nice weekend.
Other highlights:
I'm the proud owner of my car! We transferred the title on Monday. I've never had anything in my name before, very exciting.
Greg's birthday is the 27th, the day before Palm Sunday which is complicated because I am supposed to be in New York for Palm Sunday and the entire Holy Week for my confirmation at Easter Vigil at St. John the Divine. Trying to work out those logistics for me and still give hima good birthday.
Going to a conference in Denver with Whitney that I'm really excited about. I said I would go before I even knew anything about what they were doing because it sounded fun and I would get to see her, but then I actually looked at the schedule and am really excited about some of the talks and things they have pkanned. so, win-win.
I think that is about it for now.
