now i understand why torture is so effective
so i walk into the gift shop this morning and the lobby music is playing really REALLY loud...first off no music should be that loud...and second off, it wasn't just loud...it would get really loud and then short out and then start off really quiet but get really loud really fast. and customers were complaining, i was complaining...it was awful. so i had the front desk call down to maitenence, but no one came. so i had the bellman call, and he said that in was on the bottom of the priority list. i was like you have to be kidding me. so an hour and a half later they finally come in. the maitenence guy stands there and goes wow...that is annoying...it must be broken. really??? i never would have guessed that it was broken from the fact that it had been doing that for the last 2 hours...thank you for your expert advice. so he runs around back and forth trying to figure out how to make it stop. well it turns out that we have a switch to fix the volume in our closet. and someone had turned it on and it shorted out. now in the last 24 hours, there have been 2 people in this store...me and the girl who came in after me last night. it wasn't on when i left, and it was on when i came in this morning, and from the time she locks up till the time i open, no one has a key to get in here...so i wonder who broke the freaking speaker...this girl drives me nuts. she never counts her money right, leaves me no change in the drawer, and is just ridiculous!!! she always forgets to leave money for the bellman to get us newspapers, so then i have peopoe coming in all day asking me for newspapers and i have to be the one to tell them that we don't have any. you idiot!!! ive been working here for a month and i know how to do these things!!! she also left 2 room charge slips sitting on the desk...alll room charge slips have to go to the front desk as soon as they are received in case the person is checking out...why is it that you can't seem to remember this AARRRRGGGHHHHH...ok i think im finally done venting about this...at least the music is off now and i can go back to my own music...ttyl
