So... Apparently, I was gone for a few days. It's weird... When I woke up, I didn't even notice until I thought about it. I don't remember some stuff from the past few weeks before I disappeared, either. I've got new memories from home, though

Lea's apparently gonna be visiting from time to time teaching Xion to cook, so I'm sure you could cheat off her notes. He's also planning to punch me in the face, but I don't recommend that particular class.

Why does Lea know how to cook, but you can't even make toast?

[INDIGNATION! He sets his SFC down on the table.] I can too make toast! I can make toast without a toaster, thanks. [He folds his arrms with a harrumph.] I just never had any real need to cook for myself, so I never bothered to learn how.

--What, you don't believe me? Gimme a piece of bread, I'll toast it right now, o ye of little faith.

[Roxas slides off his stool at the kitchen counter, gets a slice of bread, and brings it over to Axel.]

Okay, prove me wrong.

[Getting to his feet, Axel snatches up the slice of bread and holds it up, showing one side and then the other--see? Nothing up my sleeves. Then he fires up a little sphere of flame in his other hand, holding the bread about four inches above it.]

I can't believe you don't think I can make a simple slice of toast, Roxas, jeez. Hello, walking campfire here--you should see me make s'mores. [He flips the toast over to do the other side, and when he's satisfied he takes a moment to inspect his handiwork, then hands the toast to Roxas.] There, see? Perfect toast. Tada~~ [And he folds his arms again.] Just don't expect me to make a three-course meal out of it.

Okay, fine. But there's a reason we tend to get take-out.

Who would want a three-course meal made out of toast?

I don't think anybody would want a three-course meal of toast, Roxas. I'm just saying, that just because I can't make eggs benedict or Peking duck doesn't mean I can't make a slice of toast. Yeesh, gimme a little credit. [He leans back against the couch and threads his hands behind his head.] When I was a kid my ma cooked for me, and then when I joined the Organization we had the vending machines and stuff--plus the restaurants off-world were pretty awesome. [Nothing like some spicy Agrabah food on your lunch break, right? He shrugs one shoulder.] So I just never bothered to learn anything more complicated than PB&J or instant noodles.
