Death Gate Cycle, Sci-Fi Big Bang art
So, for the Sci-Fi Big Bang I signed up to do art as well as write, and I drew this piece for karrenia_rune's story "Wave Forms," which can be read here!
The inspiration behind it was a line from a poem Orla quotes at the end, "The story, flower-like, closes thus its leaves," which really struck me. I wanted to tie the plant imagery into Orla taking her place in the Sartan sleeping chambers.
