Finally

I am really bad at keeping up with this thing. I have just been way too busy. I went to Louisiana, it was awesome. Alligators, thunder storms, warm water beaches/rivers, tubing, helicopter ride, seafood, crab trapping, crab eating, four wheeling, hotel on Bourbon Street, dueling piano bar, super wasted, really embarrassing karaoke, hung over, beignets, Mardi Gras museum, missed flight, delayed flight, another missed flight, another delayed flight. Ok, that last part wasn't so awesome. But overall I had an amazing time. I would go more into detail but I am far too lazy to recount the million awesome things I did while I was there. Needless to say, I will be going back. I don't know much about the rest of the South, but if it's anything like New Orleans, it's definitely a lot more fun than I ever expected. I should also mention that people are pretty nice down there. Mardi Gras is a definite must this year. I've always wanted to go and now that I know someone who lives there who can show me around and give me a place to stay, I really have no excuse not to. Since I've returned from my trip I've done pretty much nothing but work. Literally. I worked everyday from the Wednesday I returned (after 3 hours of sleep in a Denver hotel room and a hellish flight home) until the Friday that just passed. That's 10 straight days of 8+ hours a day. Ugh, sales meeting. But I gotta make that money if I want to keep traveling, which I very much do. I've already got a few other trips in the making. This weekend-Reno/Tahoe with Jorge, Stephanie and Max followed by a visit to Ciera's new place in Calavaras County. Mid-September-Roadtrip to Seattle and possibly Portland with Jorge and Matt. October-Vegas for Ciera's birthday and possibly a quick trip to LA to see Why? for my birthday. Keeping busy. Amongst all the work and such the past couple weeks I have managed to make big steps in getting my room in order. I still have massive amounts of crap to be sorted through and organized/gotten rid of, but I've moved most of that out of my room so I don't have to look at it. I finally got my own bed here, which has been a godsend. I rearranged some furniture to make better use out of the space. This room is huge, and it finally looks it. And I finally have a real desk. It's amazing how just a few simple changes can really make a huge difference. A clean room=a happy me. And I've started going to the gym (finally). All steps to a more fulfilled me. Making progress.

Finally.
