Song that reminds you of a certain event

It was 1984. I was driving my sporty little Fiat X-19 to work. Although the traffic on that stretch of highway was thick the general speed of all the cars on it was seventy miles an hour. So yeah, seventy in almost bumper to bumper California traffic.

Suddenly I found myself completely not in control of my car. I have no idea what caused it - if I was bumped from behind or what...but I was severely fishtailing in, yeah, bumper to bumper seventy mile an hour traffic. Four lanes of highway and I was all over them. Could NOT regain control of my car.

For some period of time there (maybe only seconds but it seemed longer) I was out-of-body, in a place where I understood that a decision was being made about whether or not it was my time to die. The place felt very orange, warm and full of all the knowledge in the entire universe. I heard myself yelling "No! I haven't been a mother yet!" Then...

CRASH! With a suddenness that I felt in my back for years afterward I slammed sideways into the cement divider. Some moments later my car came to a stop right in the little safety zone triangle between an entrance ramp and the main highway.

At first I just sat there, stunned. Then my ears started working again and this is what I heard blasting from the radio of my newly-totaled Fiat X-19:

At the hospital that day they did a pregnancy test before performing any x-rays and that's how I found out that I was expecting Michele!
