My boss gave me the replacement phone for the one I lost last week.
Against all behavioral management principles I received a most incredibly excellent mobile telephone.
Of course I can make and take phone calls with it. Of course I can SMS with it.
But it's also a great mp3 player with cables and software to facilitate the uploading/downloading of music files. It has a bunch of programs and stuff that are supposed to help me with my exercise regime, as if I have one. (I do think the counting of my footsteps that it does is rather interesting.)
Today, for the first time, I used my new phone as an mp3 player during my bike ride home.
Sometimes the universe conspires to create perfect moments like this one:
The very first road I have to cross has a crazy-long red light that seems to almost always have just turned red as I arrive. I just want to be on my way and I'm forced to sit there tapping my foot waiting-waiting-WAITING for the green light. But today, just as I approached that intersection, Cheryl Crow called out into my ear, "HIT IT!" and the light turned green. I didn't even have to gear down.
Oh, yeah!
