And I have returned from the beach! (Which was far too short a trip in my opinion, and we should have stayed longer, but I know we couldn't, seeing as we had to pick Fletcher up by 4 today...)

It was great. Aunt B's beach house has a fantastic view of the bay - the sunsets are stunningly beautiful. I've never seen any like them before, not even at my grandmother's beach house (possibly because I think the sun might set behind my grandmother's (though I'm not sure), but it sets over the bay at my aunt's). And nearby, there's a trail by the water, and the wildflowers are so pretty~

Not to mention, I always enjoy hanging out with Aunt B and her branch of the family. (Aunt B and Uncle D actually care about us, unlike certain family members on the other side of the family who I won't go into more detail about here, and the Male Cousin Trio and my sisters and I all do share one common interest that we can talk about - video games. ^^) They have a new dog now... well, this was the first time I met her, anyway. Not sure how long they've had her. But she's a huskie, just like their old dogs, but she's so sweet. She loves being petted, she's so gentle, she's got a sense of humor (well, at least, I'm sure she thought stealing that burger was funny - Uncle D didn't think so as much, but), and she's very pretty.

The downside for us, of course, is that it's a 5+ hour drive from where we live to go visit. (Aunt B and them, they live an hour away, so it's really convenient for them to go back and forth as they want.) So we can't visit that often. But it was definitely good to go visit them.

On a separate tangent, on the way up and when I had spare time, I read through the recently published Warcraft novel Stormrage by Richard A. Knaak. Now, I've heard that some people don't really like Knaak's writing - something about Rhonin being a Sue or something. I honestly don't mind his style, most of the time. Yes, Rhonin and his family situation are... somewhat ignorable at times, but Krasus and the rest of the dragons are awesome. And Stormrage didn't see much of either Rhonin or Krasus anyway, so. I rather liked the book. It was interesting, kept me interested the whole way through, and there's somewhere I want to return to in the game now, just to say hi to a certain character. (I'll do it when Akiraka hits 80 - she's almost there, about two-thirds of the way through 79, even if I'm not sure how she's managed it.)

There's just one problem though... and that would be... the overuse... of... ellipses... everywhere. I can sort of see where it would work in some of the dialogue, especially with the corrupted ones, but to end the book with an ellipsis is just stupid. A book should end on a period, an exclamation point, or maybe a question mark if you want to use a rhetorical question. But especially when the sentence stands just fine on its own as an ending, an ellipsis just doesn't make sense! A chapter ending on an ellipsis? Okay, fine. But not the final one!

world of warcraft, this shouldn't bother me so much ne, real life, random pointless stuff
