Classes are over for the semester~ Now I just have exams left - those'll be next Wednesday, next Friday, and the Wednesday after that. That I have one on the 23rd is a bit annoying - it's the last day that exams can be taken in general, plus that date and I have had our disagreements, to put it one way. And it'll be at 8 AM on the far campus, bleargh... But after that, I'll have a little less than a month before classes start again. I'm looking forward to break. ^^
Today at Anime Club was fun. We've been watching this one series one episode at a time all semester, and we finished it up tonight. It's called
Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, and it's about these two kids named Arumi and Sasshi who wind up teleporting to a different messed up world every episode for various reasons. I won't spoil it, but it's really fun, rather random at times, and worth watching.
(Also, in the phrase "
Shopping Arcade", the term "arcade" means that it's a series of arches. So says
the wikipedia page.)
And, because there's nowhere else I feel like ranting on the subject... Patch 3.3 came out for World of Warcraft.
I have to say, I've been looking forward to this patch for a while, if only because we'll finally be able (eventually) to learn the fate of Bolvar Fordragon. He's one of my favorite characters, and ever since the Wrathgate, I've been dying to know what's going to happen to him. (...No pun intended, really.)
I might, in theory, get to go to Icecrown Citadel's raid someday. I'm in a guild that's raiding (though it's not hardcore), and I was able to go to Trial of the Crusader and complete it (eventually), so it's not impossible. Hard mode, of course, probably not, but. From what I've read, I'm really looking forward to the chance that I might get to go.
The new five-man dungeons are fun, on normal setting. Personally, I really like running through a castle or a cavern or a dungeon of some kind, defeating groups of mooks, and having to actually work to get to the boss. The Trials of Stuff from the Argent Tournament (3.2) were... they were all right, in terms of boss mechanics, but you're sitting there in a circular room, the same circular room for everything except the final fight of the raid. It's dull. But the Frozen Halls... they look really cool (even if they lack color), and they flow really well.
I said normal setting because... well, heroic isn't fun, so far, though this will probably change as I learn things better. I've gotten into a couple of groups for them (by chance), and we've gotten nowhere. And then they keep blaming me, the healer, and my gear. Now, I'll admit, I'm not the most experienced at this dungeon set. Blame my lack of experience if you wish - I agree, I'm not experienced, the dungeons have been out less than a week and it's my first time on heroic, I unlike some people have a life and am not interested in trying out the test realms, of course I'm not experienced. But I'm geared for 25-man Trial of the Crusader. Do not diss my wings.
(Yes,
I have wings (warning: large image). At least until I get eight more triumph badges, at which time they'll be replaced with dull-looking upgrades that have a bit of dry ice coming out of them but that's it. I like my wings, though - they're pretty.)
I do like the new Dungeon Finder feature, though. And I mean, I really like it. It's so nice to be able to just press a button and then less than a minute later, you're grouped up with four other people from across your battle group and running a random heroic dungeon. And (aside from the times where it's tossed me into a heroic Frozen Halls instance, which it has done several times now -_-) I've had a lot of luck with finding groups that don't stink.
I've even tried out the Dungeon Finder with Akiraka (my shaman, who yes I did name after the Cube), and though it took a little longer with her (because she's going DPS), it was still fun. I'm still hoping to get her to level 58 before Cataclysm - at the moment, she's level 45, but again, knowing my luck with alts, she could stop getting much further at any time. Especially because I'm having fun in heroics again, now that I don't have to sit in Dalaran for an hour looking for one to join.
As for RP... I'm still deciding a few things. But hopefully I'll figure something out for winter break.
