Holy crap. Cave + MMO + Shin Megami Tensei = HOLY CRAP.
Ok.
So, I found out in EGM that there was an MMO based on the Shin Megami Tensei games being made.
SMT includes games such as Persona, Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga, and others. Anyone that's played any of them, well, they're not games you forget anytime soon.
They're also awesome. And awesomely difficult.
Well, I was able to get into the closed beta for this. I hadnt expected that.
...I also hadnt expected to find out that Cave is the main developer. This is the point when my brain melted out my ears.
Cave is the developer behind all of my absolute favorite shmups, the "horrible murder" types that scare people if they watch them. You know, Mushihime, DoDonPachi, Ketsui.... the list goes on and on.
That they're making an MMO makes my brain hurt. That they're making one based on SMT makes it explode.
That being said,
So far this is the single best one I've seen since I originally found City of Heroes.
I wont go into detail here cause Im low on time, but suffice it to say I'll be playing this ALOT.
I cant even think straight after this.
Also: Sin & Punishment is awesome, once I got the hang of the controls. And I love Saki, he's cool. And hot.
