Okay, so the training parts hadn't been *that* bad, and the whole promotion thing had definitely made the trip worth it. Still, Bridge is nevertheless very glad to be back in Fandom. Fandom which is still oddly chillier than it had been for the past few weeks.

"I'm hoooooome," he calls out cheerfully as he lets himself in to the apartment.

Xander, who's been waiting for that sound for a while, ducks from the dining room into the kitchen, and emerges in the entrance hall with a tray in his hands. Full of chocolate-frosted cupcakes. With sprinkles.

"Dork."

"Nice to see you too," Bridge says with a grin.

"Not that I was bored and lonely or anything. Dork."

[bridge_carson]

Bridge looks at the cupcakes, then back up at Xander. "You're just gonna end every sentence with the word 'dork' now, aren't you?"

[needsaparrot]

Xander nods. "I figure this should cover me for at least ten more dorks, yeah? Dork?"

[bridge_carson]

"I think you're good," Bridge replies with a laugh. "Except for how you're gonna end up making me fat," he adds, conveniently forgetting that he was the one who'd agreed to the cupcake payment in the first place.

"Gee, I wonder how we could burn off all those extra calories." Xander scratches his head, setting the tray down on an end-table.

[bridge_carson]

"Mud runs?" Bridge suggests innocently.

[needsaparrot]

"We're in Antarctica." Or near enough.

[bridge_carson]

"*That's* why it's so freaking cold." Well, okay, it's hardly freezing on the island, but. California boy.

[needsaparrot]

"Unless we're having a surprise ice age and all the penguins escaped from the Madagascar zoo, yeah."

[bridge_carson]

"There's penguins in Fandom?"

[needsaparrot]

"Next to it, I guess?" Not that he went over the causeway to check because hi, also California boy.

[bridge_carson]

"...I think I'll just be staying on the island," Bridge decides. "I mean, it's cold. But not *penguin* cold. Plus, there's, you know. Buildings with heat. And people to keep me warm."

"People?"

[bridge_carson]

"Well, sure. Z and I could play lightball in the dorms, for instance..." Bridge points out. "Or I could find someone to spar with in the gym."
