Hello and horrible dream

Jun 23, 2006 01:59

Hello. Here is a warning for you before we even begin: this is primarily going to be an account of me on the road to getting married, which is happening in July of next year. So if you're not interested in any of that stuff, or you know me in real life and hear me talk about it enough, then this journal probably isn't for you. It'll mostly be open entries, but some entries will probably be friends-only. So if you wanna be on the list, just comment.

Now for the horrible dream (a.k.a. my first wedding entry!):

It was the day of the wedding and we realized that we had sent out NO invitations. To anybody. The only people that knew about it were our parents and a few select members of the wedding party. So we hurried and mailed out the invitations (which, in dreamland, were supposed to take about an hour to get there or something), and went ahead and just had the wedding with our family. And then planned to have another wedding in a couple of hours when everyone got there. And then I was on the phone with the maid of honor, making sure she'd be at the second wedding on time. And then it was time for the second, more organized wedding. But then, for some reason, I was going to attempt to wear black undergarments under my beautiful white dress (which, incidentally, looked nothing like the one I actually have). So, seconds before I'm supposed to walk down the aisle (like, while the wedding party is going), I decide that wait a minute, I'm going to switch out the black undergarments for more sensible white ones. So I'm frantically trying to get the dress back in place in time, and also having a huge panic attack, when I woke up. And with all the dreams I've had before now, I should probably just write a book about a horrible wedding-gone-wrong. It would be pretty hysterical.
