I decided to take a break from sacrificing my iPod to a higher being and whats better to calm down than the nicely mindless actvity of coding a recs post. ^_^
Starscream Cosplay: The most amazing Transformers cosplay I've ever seen and probably will ever see. Smooth lines, good proportions and the person in the costume can actually walk unaided!
CSI: Death by Chocolate by
Beth Einspanier A young man is found in the desert, having been drowned in chocolate. Who would want him dead, and what does he have to do with a reclusive chocolatier from London? CSI:Las Vegas and Depp!Charlie and the Chocolate Factory cossover. It sounds like the oddest idea but the whodunnit and plot twists kept me guessing 'till the end!
(Rated T)
A Gift of Ordinary Magic by
liz_marcs There's only one thing a muggle can do when the magic abandons the world on a cold Christmas night: fight like hell to get it back. The magic is draining from the world and Xander is struggling with the implications. Very bitter sweet Buffy/Harry Potter crossover that made me wibble but has an adorable ending.
(Rated PG)
Office Hours by
tartanshell Peter learns a lot from Professor McCoy. X-Men and Spiderman movie-verse crossover about heroes who save the world when they're not saving the world. Full of awesome cute, sometimes Peter really needs to know hes not alone in it all.
(PG-13)
Also it's sequel/continuation:
The Wisdom to Know the Difference by
tartanshell Hank was the first person Peter told his biggest secret to. The person who showed Peter that coming out of the superhero closet could be pretty cool. But now Hank's going through something that makes the "to tell, or not to tell?" dilemma pretty ridiculous, and Peter finds himself struggling with the same old questions all over again. Only this time, it's not about coming out. It's about staying in. Spiderman and X-Men, now with added Daredevil! As Hank's big change happens Peter tracks down Daredevil and they all kinda cope together. Not as sappy as my 1:20 am summary sounds, just good fun with real plot.
(PG-13)
Sharp-Dressed Man by
rosehiptea Jet has to cross-dress. Bonus points if Spike was supposed to be the one cross-dressing, but screwed up his ankle or some such because he couldn't walk in heels. For me Bebop is kinda my "Oh god my childhood" fandom so I usually steer so so clear of fic but the summary on this was too good to pass up and I'm glad I didn't. It's short and silly but excellently characterized as well as capturing the banter of the Bebop crew.
(Rated PG)
We Don't Need Another Hero by
sophiap:
Our childhood heroes can shape who we become in the future, and a childish wish can impact the fate of the entire world. A xxxHolic crossover with a secret series. Theres not much I can say about this without giving it away but once I figured it out I squeaked and squee'd so much.
(Rated PG)
The Treaty of Amsolis by
raisedbymoogles The strange customs of a faraway colony land Rodimus in a situation he never expected. Crack of the highest and finest grade. You know it's so bad for your brain but you so want more. Rodimus/Galvatron/Cyclonus and accidental marriage, need I say more?
(Rated PG-13 for crack and snogging)
