Renner on Letterman
I taped Jeremy Renner on Letterman last night and watched it on the DVR when I got home tonight. When he was on Jimmy Fallon the other night he just could NOT sit still. The boy was fidgeting during the entire interview. He was much more calm last night. I wondered what they were going to talk about. Letterman quizzed him about working with Oscar Nominated directors (Katherine Bigelow, Ben Affleck) and then got him talking about his side business of renovating houses. Jeremy and his business partner have flipped 20 houses in the past several years. Then it was time for the reason he was here, promoting the new movie.
“Let’s take a look at a clip. Do you know what this is going to be?”
“I think it’s when Hansel and Gretel discover the very house that got them in trouble in the first place.”
“Have you guys thought about working in Gingerbread?”
Oh Dave, that whole interview, all that chit chat, was all orchestrated to setup that single joke, wasn’t it?
