My First L.J. Anniversary

Today is the first anniversary of the day I started lurking on Live Journal.

I met sirhc-warrior at VTRF last year, and we exchanged e-mail addresses on the last day. In her first e-mail she sent me a link to a journal entry about VTRF. Looking back over the entry, it amuses me that there is no mention of me, but there are several mentions of Dave. He is

the thing is, you and i didn't really start talking until after VTRF was over. and, i think, we owe our relationship, in part at least, to Dave's extreme helpfulness. no matter what other silly or stupid things he might have done, he did do that one cool thing, for which i thank him greatly. *grin*

well, that and breaking into my car. ;)

i'm so happy LJ has been helpful for you. i know it's been a godsend, at times, to me. just to have a place to get stuff out.

I once gave dannarra some sh*t for spending so much time online, using LJ to communicate. Why not just call a friend, or hang out.

I stand SOOOO corrected. LJ is a window into a social world that is difficult to attend in real life due to schedules, geographical distance, etc.

But I draw the line at My Space! No, I won't go to the dark side!

The internet is a total godsend for introverts! And socializing would be easier if I lived anywhere near any of my friends. ::sigh::
