It felt cold when I woke up this morning, but then it feels colder outside the covers than under most mornings. But by the time I got out to the living room, I shouldn't have felt as cold as I did. I checked the thermostat. Only 56 degrees in the condo. I tried turning up the heat, which should have kicked on the furnace, and nothing happened. I dug around for the receipt for my three month old furnace and called them. And got put on hold. That's when I realized, it's the morning after a Noreaster, which means frozen and burst pipes. It's going to be a long day.
The lady on the phone took my name and number and said they'd get back to me. Yep, it's going to be a really long day if I don't even know where I am in the service queue. I e-mailed work that I'm working from home today and may have to take a half day (if it gets to cold, I'm hiding under the covers). Then I pulled out the serious wool socks. The super thick ones that I only wear during the depths of winter.
Fleece tights are still awesome.
