Weekend update
My plan for Saturday was to pretty much be a completely slacker. I’ve got just a ton of articles “saved” on Facebook to read later. And well, it’s later. So I spent some time online reading articles. I did manage to squeeze in just the tiniest bit of tidying up. I emptied and filled the dishwasher, washed a few dishes, put away some clean laundry. I also changed the sheets and ran two more loads of laundry.
Since I was vegging out and being a couch potato, I flipped on the boob tube to see what cable had to offer and ended up watching the very cheesy video game movie Wing Commander (which had come up in conversation recently. Funny how that seems to happen.) Freddie Prinz Jr., Matt Lillard, and Saffron Burrows. Everyone was so young (23, 29, and 27), and Lillard was sporting a head of bleached blonde hair. Hee! I really liked the costumer’s choices too. Drop front trousers with big brass buttons, classic navy military sweaters with cloth epaulets, and hats that felt vaguely Russian. And I like the fact that we have two female kickass pilots in the movie.
Then I watched 27 Dresses. I’ve had my problems with a lot of modern romantic comedies because the plot usually is strong professional female only finds happiness by giving up her career and having babies. In this movie, our heroine finds happiness by stopping being a doormat and learning to stand up for herself. And while James Marsden is cute (such a great smile!), I do wonder why he always looks like he’s squinting?
Sunday was spent relaxing in front of the TV watching the ION Leverage marathon. I really love that show. I might just have to break down and buy it on DVD.
