Forever (TV)

I caught my third episode of Forever on TV last night. As much as I like Ioan Gruffud, I'm not sure if I'm going to keep watching it. The writing is just horrible! They're really not giving him much to go on as far as character development, other than "know it all ( Read more... )

For all the bad writing and silly plots, it had a really great gotcha moment for me last night, where greyface and Dr.Death (I can't remember his name on the show), are looking over the skyline and talking about how beautiful it is, and how much people miss that. It definitely kinda touched me.

I think its going to be a show that I end up binge watching once the season is over, but not really worth putting aside time every week to watch. Then again, even Grey's isnt compelling enough anymore to make me set aside every Thursday at 8 if something better comes up.

My DVR is pretty full right now with stuff that I still need to find time to watch (which ain't going to happen until I have weekends free in November) so I'm having to be choosy about what new shows I'm adding this season. =P

because I just think that someone who is SO brilliant would have managed to learn at least some rudimentary social skills after they've managed to live several lifetimes

One could make the case that after spending several lifetimes among humans he's gone round the twist and doesn't give a rat's arse about anything. ;-)

Except that's pretty clearly not the case here. (Even if it would be with me!)

I hate shows that don't use the phone-seriously, SO many sjow issues could be solved by "have an officer meet me at the house" or "hey, tell so and so not to [insert action here]"

But it's so much more dramatic to race out of the morgue, and run outside and catch a cab (or take the subway) to get home! I mean, it would have been. If they'd actually shown it onscreen. But instead we get *dash out one door* *dash in another door* and panicked screaming at son.

*eyerolls*
