Welp, I survived another season of faire

I survived another season of faire. But boy am I tired. I played hookie on Friday, slept late, and then had a two hour nap to boot. Not sure if I'm fighting off some sort of faire plague or not, but I woke up a bit phlegmy this morning, required a serious nose blowing. I'm going to have to lay low for a bit if I want to make sure I stay healthy.

My back survived break-down too. Not sure if it's getting better or not, but I was able to (cautiously) help out with dismantling tents and the lifting and toting and packing up. Mostly small things. But there's lots of small things in camp. I also remembered to pack lights (a head lamp and a small camp lantern) which came in very handy. We used the lantern in the trailer, which makes a huge difference when you can see inside the darn thing. And I assigned myself the task of checking the grounds for lost things. I found a couple of tent stakes and the rope and iron hook from the yoke while prowling around in the dark. Good catch Julie!

I did however need to have my car jumped. Left the headlights on too long without running the engine. Dark camp is dark. It took us over two hours to tear down. We're never this inefficient! (Usually we can set up/tear down in an hour, if we're on our game.) I blame the site. Damn rocks, wear everyone out. At least it didn't rain (no wet canvas) and the weather was surprisingly mild.

Ugh, now for another week of work. When all I really want to do is sleep.
