With all that goes on in New Sanctum it sometimes seems impossible to find a moment to stop and think about it all. A few days ago a strict curfew was put in place by the government that left more than a few people upset. Living in the tower though I only had to hear Reno whine his ass off about it all. The citizens outside though had other ways to express their anger on the issue... that being a full out riot. Being a turk lets me stay here in the tower for work and living accommodations so heading out there wasn't necessary for me, unless I was ordered to.
I would hate to think what it's like out there for the average citizen. I wonder how everyone I left behind is dealing with this all. I damm well hope that at least some of them have the brains to keep low and not run around in all that chaos out there; although there are a few of them I wouldn't mind getting caught in that mess....
During the whole fiasco I was stuck getting a replacement for my cell phone. Reno once again had broken it beyond my ability to repair it so I had to head on down to get that taken care of. Tseng was nowhere to be found when I came to work so I left a message on his desk explaining the situation and reporting that I would call him when I was once again able be contacted by cell phone. The people at the equipment office don't even blink anymore when I bring in my cell phone asking for a replacement... even when they see what poor shape the abused thing had gone through. I had to spend quite some time there because of the riots... between the staff running around trying to make sure their loved ones were ok to the ones that just gawked at the chaos taking place right outside their windows.
The next day we had our first mission in a while. It was good to let loose and do what I do best for a change. The mission went well but Reno and I discovered a strange man that had been lying dormant in a coffin of all places. He claimed to be a Turk named Vincent Valentine. Tseng has mentioned this name once or twice.. something had happened to him if I recall right, but for the life of me I can't remember. It doesn't matter if the man was lying or not about his identity. His presence is a threat to our organization. We need to discover who's side he is on and find out just what he knows about us. The meeting with Tseng should produce a means of action on this peculiar case. Now to get Reno and meet up with our boss.
