Taking a short break between tournament rounds
Well, I'm still in the tournament having defeated my latest opponent. He was an excellent fighter but he had a strange burning hot punch that I have yet to be able to figure out. Reno is still in the tournamet as well going strong in the weapons divison. I wish him the best of luck in his next match. I doubt that his next opponent will be half as easy to beat as the ones he has faced before.
Right now while in between rounds people are running around celebrating Christmas. I ended up spending Christmas eve hanging out at my place with Reno. I cooked up the best meal possible for the both of us to enjoy and we spend the evening relaxing away from all things related to work.
The next day I went in early, even earlier than Tseng, and left christmas gifts on the desks of my other fellow Turks. For Tseng I got a gorgeous silk robe that I had found while searching the stalls at the harvest festival. Elena I got a Bath/Spa kit that I think had a very nice, light fragrance.. I hope she likes it; those things are not easy for me to pick out. I really don't know much about those kinds of things. Mahaado was more difficult though, I really didn't know what to get the man. I sill haven't become too comfortable with his presence around here. I eventually decided on the very best book on basic self defense I could find. I added a note to explain that it was in his best interest for him to become familiar with these techniques and to use them as groundwork to build up his fighting skills. If the way he presents himself is his true self and he really wants to become one of us I felt that this was the best way to start.
