Lessons in Italian
Seriously, I kid you not. Nutella is Italian. Nutella is not French. I'm not sure when this happened, but falena84 assures me that it has always been so and, so far, wikipedia seems to be bearing her up.
The thing is, there is nothing more quintessentially French than crêpes and Nutella. Do you know how many times I've eaten said same combo? More times than I care to admit. Nutella was a defining part of my French experience and, as it turns out, it wasn't even French. Because, my friends, Nutella e italiana.
Jeans, btw, are a Genoese invention. The word itself comes from the French name for Genova, Gênes. Denim, however, comes from de Nîmes, which is French and also the place where denim originated.
Zinédine Zidane is still a fucking great football player. And he's French.

And now a question to the masses - what do I watch this fall on tv? So far, there is only one show that's a definite on my schedule. That would be Veronica Mars. Oh, and I'll probably watch Big Love, when it returns, but I don't know when that is. It could be 2012 for all I know. This is HBO, after all. Both Gilmore Girls and Battleship Galactica are on the outs with me. CSI is still very much on the outs with me, but recent developments on the one front have me intrigued. But probably not enough to watch attentively. Arrested Development is sadly no longer on tv. *sob* I still hate Aaron Sorkin with the heat of myriad supernovae, so I keep going back and forth on Studio 60, despite the presence of snarky Canadian, Matthew Perry. And no one's come out gushing about Heroes, though I am intrigued, mostly due to Milo Ventimiglia (which, btw, I can now say somewhat authentically). What happened to that show with Dulé Hill? Is it still worth watching?
