A long overdue update...
Hi everyone,
I really hadn't realized it had been so long since I'd last posted. So many things have been going on in my life and I've sort of become a Facebook addict and just forgot about LJ. Of course I haven't forgotten about any of you, but you know how it is when life sort of gets in the way.
The biggest news in my life is that I now have a wonderful, amazing boyfriend. He is the most amazing man in the world. Finding him was simply the best thing that's ever happened to me and I really and truly couldn't be happier. I jokingly call him Captain Awesome because he's just so awesome, but all joking aside, he really is. He's much younger than me but that doesn't seem to bother him. We've had discussions about the age difference and he loves me for who I am. Never in a million years did I think I'd find someone as truly wonderful as Doug.
Here's another bit of news in the shocker department...I leave this Friday to go to Australia. I can't believe I'm doing this, but this is one of those things that we do in the name of love. Hehehe! I'm frightfully nervous about the whole thing. I hate flying and haven't done it in over 25 years, but I depart Mobile this Friday afternoon and will have three flights, the longest of which is 14.5 hours! Yikes! Thank heavens the doctor has given me some Xanax to take. :)
